銀行で荷物預かり 三菱UFJ銀と佐川、京都で手ぶら観光サービス
三菱UFJ銀行と佐川急便は、三菱UFJ銀行の京都支店内で「手ぶら観光サービス」のトライアルを開始する。支店内に拠点「KYOTO Travel Satellite(仮称)」を開設し、金融サービスと物流サービスを一体的に提供する。
旅行者は銀行店舗内で、ATMでの現金引き出しなどの金融サービスに加え、手荷物の一時預かりや次の目的地への手荷物配送など佐川急便の「SAGAWA手ぶらサービス」を同時に利用できる。
銀行で複数のサービスを完結できるため、旅行者の利便性向上につなげる。また、銀行のスペースを有効活用し、新たな店舗モデルの可能性も検証する。
実施の目的には、訪日外国人旅行者の増加に伴い深刻化する交通混雑や、手荷物携行による移動負荷など、オーバーツーリズムを中心とした社会課題への対応がある。京都市内では大型手荷物の持ち運びによる混雑が課題となっており、旅行者の満足度低下に加え、地域住民もバスや鉄道に乗車しにくい事象も生じているという。
今後は、トライアルを通じて利便性や需要度を確認し、サービス実用化に向けた課題を明確にする。両社は、物流インフラと店舗網を活用し、オーバーツーリズムの解消やインバウンド需要の取り込みに貢献する新たなモデル構築を検討する。
