「名古屋アリーナ」28年に開業 ららぽーと隣接で1万人規模
2028年初頭、愛知・名古屋に収容客数1万人規模の多目的アリーナ「(仮称)名古屋アリーナ」が誕生する。三井不動産と豊田通商、KDDIが8月27日に着工し、2027年秋に竣工予定。2028年初頭の開業を目指す。

「名古屋アリーナ」は、B.LEAGUE「ファイティングイーグルス名古屋」が2027-28シーズンよりホームアリーナとして利用するほか、音楽コンサートなどのイベントを開催する。
アリーナの所在地は、愛知県名古屋市港区金川町101番1で、名古屋市営地下鉄名港線「港区役所」駅 徒歩約8分。商業・スポーツ・住宅などの多様な都市機能が集積する「みなとアクルス」エリアに位置し、「ららぽーと名古屋みなとアクルス」や多目的ホールの「COMTEC PORTBASE」と共に、みなとアクルス全体で、スポーツやエンターテインメントの力を活用したリアルの体験価値を最大化する街づくりを推進する。
アリーナでのスポーツ・エンタメなどの「非日常」体験と、隣接する「ららぽーと名古屋みなとアクルス」での食事やお買い物など商業施設とアリーナを一体となった企画を展開予定としている。
豊田通商が保有するプロバスケ B1リーグの「ファイティングイーグルス名古屋(FE名古屋)」のホームアリーナとして活用。トップリーグである「B.LEAGUE PREMIER」への早期参入を目指す上でも「重要なステップ」としている。KDDIは、通信技術を軸に、アリーナを起点としたパートナーと連携により、新たな価値共創を目指す。
名古屋アリーナの敷地面積は、約20,500m2(約6,200坪)、構造は鉄骨造・地上4階建で、延床面積は約27,500m2(約8,300坪)。収容人数は約10,000人、設計・施工は大林組。
三井不動産では、スポーツ施設と商業施設の連携を進めており、24年5月に開業した「LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY」(千葉県船橋市)では、同エリアにある「三井ショッピングパーク ららぽーと TOKYO-BAY」や「三井ショッピングパーク ららテラス TOKYO-BAY」と一体となった企画を展開。また、ららぽーと内にスポーツ施設を設置するなど、スポーツ・エンタメの要素を盛り込んだ街づくりを手掛けている。
名古屋アリーナにはKDDIが参画するが、通信事業者ではNTTドコモが「IGアリーナ(愛知国際アリーナ)」や「国立競技場」の運営に携わるなど「スマート・ベニュー」事業の強化を進めている。
