埼玉 行田「猫の日」で“猫の御朱印” 神社に多くの人が訪れる
2月22日は猫の鳴き声の語呂合わせで「猫の日」です。6匹の猫が暮らす埼玉県行田市の神社には、猫をあしらった期間限定の御朱印を求めて多くの人が訪れています。
行田市の前玉神社には10年余り前に1匹の猫が迷い込み、今では合わせて6匹が神社や宮司の自宅に住み着いて多くの猫好きの人たちが参拝に訪れます。
毎月22日にはこのうちの1匹の姿をあしらった御朱印を授けていますが、2月22日の「猫の日」には6匹すべての猫の姿が入った期間限定の御朱印が配られています。
御朱印には、近くにある古墳群にちなんで猫が発掘された鉄剣を抱えたりはにわと並んでポーズをとったりする愛らしい姿があしらわれていて、多くの人が求めていました。
22日は境内に6匹のうち2匹が姿を見せ、参拝者は写真に撮ったり背中をなでたりしていました。
地元の40代の女性は「きょうの特別な日に御朱印が手にできてとてもうれしいです。家で飼っているねこが長生きするようお願いしましたが、御朱印でかないそうです」と話していました。
神社では、混雑をさけるため2月22日付けの御朱印を今月25日まで授けるほか、郵送でも受け付けています。
