米ケネディ厚生長官 CDC外部委員8人指名 “誤情報拡散”指摘も

アメリカのケネディ厚生長官は、さまざまなワクチンの使用を推奨するか判断してきた、CDC＝アメリカ疾病対策センターの外部委員会の委員、8人を新たに指名しました。「第一線の専門家だ」などとしていますが、一部のメディアは、誤った情報を拡散したとして批判されたことがある人物が含まれていると指摘しています。

ケネディ厚生長官は11日、自身のSNSで、ワクチンに関する検討を行う、CDCの外部委員会の委員8人を新たに指名しました。

この委員は、さまざまなワクチンについて、アメリカ国内での使用を推奨するか、科学的なデータに基づいて判断する立場で、ケネディ長官は今月、それまでいた17人、全員を解任し、新たな委員を選ぶとしていました。

新たな委員について、ケネディ長官は「公衆衛生の分野で第一線の専門家やアメリカで最も優れた医師が何人も含まれている。全員が根拠に基づいた医療に取り組んでいる」としています。

一方で一部のアメリカメディアは、指名された委員の中に、医療分野の誤った情報を拡散したとして批判されたことがある人物が含まれていると指摘しています。

8人は、今月下旬に開催される予定の、ワクチンに関するCDCの外部委員会の会議に出席する見込みだということです。
