進化したトヨタ タンドラ、鮮やかに登場！

7月22日、トヨタの北米法人は、2026年型に進化した「タンドラ」を発表した。
現行のトヨタ タンドラは初代から数えて3代目で、2022年に登場した。「GA-Fプラットフォーム」を採用し、駆動方式は後輪駆動と4WDの2種類から選べる。
2026年型の新しいトヨタ タンドラは、新たに「Wave Maker」と呼ぶ鮮やかなブルーのボディカラーを設定。「TRD Pro」グレードのみ、選択可能だ。
インテリアのうち、「Capstone」グレードのシートは、新しいレザーを使う。中央部にブラウンのストライプがあしらわれたのが特徴だ。
TRD Proは、オプションで「タコマ TRD Pro」と同じ、「ISOダイナミックパフォーマンスシート」が装備可能となった。このシートには、可変ショックアブソーバーが備わるのが目玉だ。
新しいトヨタ タンドラには、32.2ガロン（約146L）の大容量燃料タンクを全車に標準装備。従来の小型タイプのオプションは、廃止された。
搭載するパワートレインはV6ツインターボエンジンに加え、ハイブリッド機構を持つV6ツインターボエンジンの2種類。どちらのエンジンも、10速電子制御オートマチックトランスミッション（ECTi）と、組み合わせる。
新しいトヨタ タンドラの日本導入は未定だが、超巨大なサイズからすると可能性は低いだろう。
