7月18日、19日に北海道岩見沢市のいわみざわ公園で行われた野外音楽フェスティバル「JOIN ALIVE 2026」。サカナクションは19日のトリとして出演しました。山口さんはこの日、「北海道岩見沢JOIN ALIVEの会場に向かってます」とコメントを添えると、1枚の写真を公開。

投稿された写真には、移動中のバス車内で手すりを握りしめ、静かに車窓の外を眺める山口さんの姿が収められています。上下共にデニムのファッションの山口さんは、黒いリュックサックを背負い、マスクとメガネを合わせたスタイル。右手にはペットボトルを持ち、まるでプライベートショットのような雰囲気です。車内の他の座席には、スーツケースを携えた一般客と思われる乗客の姿も写っており、ライブ会場へ向かう日常の風景に見事に溶け込んだショットとなっています。なお、山口さんは同日にJOIN ALIVE会場での様子も投稿。2005年に北海道で結成したサカナクションは、9月8日の日本武道館を皮切りに、2027年にかけて全国各地でのライブツアーを予定しています。
