ミニストップ 不正は全国25店舗 消費期限を14時間延長も
コンビニチェーンの「ミニストップ」は1日、全国の25の店舗で、店内で調理したおにぎりなどの消費期限を偽って表示していたと発表しました。中には消費期限を不正に14時間延ばしたケースもあったということで、会社は、現在中止している店内で調理した商品の販売をいつ再開するか慎重に検討したいとしています。
ミニストップでは、店内で調理するおにぎりや弁当、総菜で、消費期限を偽って表示していたことが明らかになっていて、会社は1日、不正が東京や大阪など7つの都府県の合わせて25店舗で確認されたと発表しました。
これらの店では、消費期限を先延ばししたラベルを貼り直したり、製造から時間がたった後にラベルを貼ったりして、消費期限を数時間ほど不正に延ばしたケースが多く、中には本来の消費期限を14時間超えたおにぎりが販売されていた店もあったということです。
また、会社の調査に対し「3年前から不正が始まった」と証言した店もあったとしています。
不正を行った理由については「食品の廃棄を減らして店の経費を少なくしたかった」とか、「朝に調理する予定のものを客が少ない時間帯に事前に作る方が都合がよかった」といった回答が多く、フランチャイズ店のオーナーの指示で不正を行っていたケースもあったということです。
堀田昌嗣社長は1日の会見で「安全が担保されないかぎりは販売の再開はできない」と述べたうえで、現在中止している店内で調理した商品の販売をいつ再開するか慎重に検討する考えを示しました。
