フランス・パリの観光地シャンゼリゼ通りと、大阪のメインストリート、御堂筋について、「姉妹ストリート」と位置づけて協力を深めていこうと、パリでそれぞれの関係者が出席して調印式が行われました。

パリのシャンゼリゼ通りを見渡せる会場で7日、行われた調印式には、大阪市の横山市長と、シャンゼリゼ通りの発展に取り組む団体のトップが出席し、覚書に署名しました。

覚書では、シャンゼリゼ通りと御堂筋を「姉妹ストリート」と位置づけ、歩道部分の拡張など人を中心とした空間づくりや大規模イベントなどの事業の進め方についてもノウハウを共有するとしています。

今回の覚書は、去年開かれた大阪・関西万博がきっかけになったということで、大阪市の横山市長は「親しみやすい緑化の方法やイベントの同時開催などで具体的な連携を進めたい。万博のすばらしいレガシーになる」と話していました。

また、「シャンゼリゼ委員会」のジャメ会長は、「私たちが抱える同じ課題に取り組むことで解決策が共有できる。シャンゼリゼからは公共空間の演出や活性化について共有できるノウハウがある」と述べ、交流の意義を強調しました。
