国交省、80年振りに船員手帳のデザイン刷新
国土交通省は、「船員手帳」のデジタル化に併せ、デザインを大幅に刷新する。1947年以来初めての刷新で、新たな船員手帳は、2027年4月から発行を開始する。
船員手帳は、船に乗って働く船員の身分証明書で、約8万人の船員が使用している。海外では、船員手帳の提示により一時的な上陸が可能になるなど、旅券(パスポート)と類似した機能も有する。
今回の刷新は、政府のデジタル化の方針から、船員手帳の書類部分を大幅にスリム化。同時に、パスポートを参考としてデザインを刷新することになった。新しい船員手帳の色は、「海の色」に和の要素を考慮した藍色となる。
