Osaka Metro全駅にホーム柵完了 事故は9割減
大阪市高速電気軌道(Osaka Metro)は、可動式ホーム柵の整備が3月18日に完了すると発表した。関西最大規模という全9路線・全134駅で整備が完了する。
可動式ホーム柵は、ホームへの転落や電車との接触を防ぐため、2006年の今里筋線の新線の建設に合わせて整備を開始。2025年度末までに全線全駅への整備完了を目指し工事が進められてきた。3月18日の谷町線八尾南駅での運用開始により、この計画が完了する。なお、ニュートラム(南港ポートタウン線)は1997年の開業時から各駅にホームドアを備えている。
整備の完了に伴い、転落・接触事故の件数は2006年度から90%以上減少しているという。
