X、収益分配を刷新 拡散者でなく「オリジナル」作者に還元
Xは、クリエイター向けの収益分配プログラムの条件を変更した。これにより、“オリジナル”コンテンツの投稿者を優先し、収益を割り当てる仕組みのテスト運用を開始した。
Xのプロダクト担当者であるニキータ・ビア(Nikita Bier)氏が11日に明らかにしたもの。
Xのクリエイター向け収益分配プログラムは、資格を満たしたクリエイターに対して、Xでの投稿やインプレッションに応じた対価を還元する仕組み。今後は、記事や動画など独自のコンテンツへの収益の配分を強化していく。「タイムラインに新しい価値をもたらすオリジナルで高品質なコンテンツを推奨していく」(ビア氏)とする。
リポストやコメントなども引き続き利用できるが、「最もコンテンツを拡散した投稿者ではなく、コンテンツを制作する労力そのものに報いたい」とする。

ビア氏は、人気コンテンツを見つけ、自分の投稿とする“アグリゲーター”への収益還元を止めていく姿勢を強調。さらに一例として、「すべての投稿に「BREAKING」(速報)を使う常習的なクリックベイト投稿者の報酬は減額する」としている。
