記録的な豪雨で被害が出たJR外房線は、一部区間で運転の見合わせが続いています。こうしたなかJR東日本は、17日朝から代行バスの運行を始めました。

外房線は復旧作業のため、誉田駅と本納駅の間で運転を見合わせていますが、JRはお盆休み明けの17日朝から3つの区間で代行バスの運行を始めました。

このうちJR茂原駅では、始発バスが出発する午前6時前には、蘇我駅に向かう臨時バスの乗り場に通勤や通学で利用する人たちが長い列を作っていました。

都内に通勤する60代の女性は「もともと電車が混むので覚悟して早めに来たが、想像以上に人が多くて驚いた。電車が安全に再開してほしい」と話していました。

JR東日本は、外房線のうち、18日に大網駅と本納駅の間で、今月24日に誉田駅と大網駅の間で再開し、全線での運転再開を目指すとしています。
