大相撲 豊昇龍の横綱昇進を祝うパレード 千葉 柏
大相撲初場所で優勝した豊昇龍の横綱昇進を祝うパレードがゆかりのある千葉県柏市で行われ、大勢の市民が声援を送りました。
豊昇龍は先月の初場所で優勝決定戦を制して2回目の優勝を果たし、先月29日、第74代の横綱に昇進しました。
モンゴル出身の豊昇龍は、2015年から3年間、柏市内の高校に留学し、相撲部で練習に励んだあと相撲部屋に入門していて、16日はゆかりのある柏市で昇進を祝うパレードが行われました。
豊昇龍は人生で初めてという人力車に乗り、柏駅前の商店街などおよそ600メートルの道のりを1時間かけてゆっくりと進み、沿道には柏市の発表でおよそ2万5000人が集まりました。
豊昇龍は沿道からの「おかえり」という声援や拍手に対し、手を振りながら笑顔で「ただいま」と応えていました。
ゴール地点では太田和美市長が花束を手渡すとともに「偉大な横綱が誕生したことは柏市の誇りであり、大きな喜びです。さらなる高みを目指して頑張ってください」と激励しました。
豊昇龍は「柏は日本のふるさとと思っています。たくさんの方の応援の声が力になりました。すごく勇気をもらったので、しっかり頑張りたいと思います。これからも応援お願いします」と語りました。
新横綱として臨む大相撲春場所は、来月9日に始まります。
