ファミマ、自動バッテリ交換式EVで配送実証 ガソリン車の給油時間と同等
ファミリーマート、伊藤忠商事、いすゞ自動車と横浜市は、国内初となる車両の左右両側からバッテリーを自動で同時交換できるステーションを活用し、ガソリン車の給油時間と同等の時間でバッテリー交換を実現する「エルフEV」を使った実証実験を11月から横浜市内で実施する。
脱炭素化は物流業界でも急務となっているが、24時間営業のコンビニエンスストアへの配送は昼夜問わず連続して行なわれるため、車両には高い稼働率が求められる。しかし、配送用トラックの電動化には充電に伴うダウンタイムが大きな課題で、短時間で満充電のバッテリーに交換できるバッテリー交換式車両の活用が有効な解決策とされている。
実証実験では、バッテリーを両サイドから同時に交換可能な仕様に改造した「エルフEV」を3台配備。横浜市内のファミリーマート約80店舗でルート配送を行なう。実証用車両はバッテリー交換ステーションとの通信機能を搭載し、車両がステーションに入庫すると自動で満充電のバッテリーへ交換が始まり、従来のディーゼル車の燃料給油と同等の時間でバッテリー交換が完了する。
実証実験ではバッテリー交換式小型EVトラックの利便性や実用性(電力費用・航続距離・温度管理)などを検証し、今後の導入拡大について検討を行なう。
