国会の会期末の17日、自民・維新両党は「副首都」構想の関連法案など残る法案を確実に成立させたいとして、会期を来週25日まで8日間延長するよう衆参両院の議長に申し入れました。会期の延長は、このあとの衆議院本会議で議決される見通しです。

国会は会期末の17日、皇族数の確保に向けた改正皇室典範などが成立した一方、「副首都」構想の関連法案は成立のめどが立たず、複数の政府提出法案の審議も残っています。

こうした中、自民党の鈴木幹事長と日本維新の会の中司幹事長は、残る法案を確実に成立させたいとして、17日夕方、会期を来週25日まで8日間延長するよう衆参両院の議長に申し入れました。

国会の会期が延長されるのは、政治改革をめぐる3つの関連法の成立を図るため3日間延長されたおととしの臨時国会以来となります。
