楽天証券、みずほ銀行の銀行代理業を開始
楽天証券は、みずほ銀行を所属銀行とする銀行代理業を3月10日に開始する。同日から、みずほ銀行の円貨普通預金口座の契約締結の媒介業務を行なう。
同取り組みにより、楽天証券の利用者は、みずほ銀行の口座開設前に手数料や金利などのサービス内容を確認できるようになる。円貨普通預金に関する情報取得から口座開設までを円滑に行なえるようにする。
楽天証券はこれまで楽天銀行を所属銀行とする銀行代理業を行なっており、今回新たにみずほ銀行を追加する。
楽天証券とみずほ銀行は、2022年10月に楽天証券ホールディングスとみずほ証券が戦略的資本業務提携を締結して以降、オンラインとリアルの強みを活かした連携を進めてきた。証券口座と銀行口座間の資金移動を行なえる「らくらく入出金」や、入出金手数料無料で最短当日中の米ドル入出金が可能な「外貨ダイレクト」などを提供している。
加えて、企業の人的資本経営や従業員のFinancial Well-Beingを支援する金融経済教育プログラム「MONEY NAVIGATOR」や、福利厚生制度として導入できる「職場つみたてNISA」など、Workplace Business領域での協同サービスも展開している。
今回、銀行代理業の対象をみずほ銀行へ拡大することで、顧客接点の拡充を図る。個人の資産形成ニーズが高まるなか、両社は連携を強化し、資産運用・資産形成サービスの向上を目指す。
