Luupは、祇園祭の期間中、京都市内の一部エリアにおいて、モビリティシェア「LUUP」のポートを一時停止する。交通規制区域内への乗り入れを防ぐとともに、人が密集するエリアでの走行による事故やトラブルを未然に防止することを目的とする。京都市の一部エリアにおいて、各鉾立て期間から宵々山、山鉾巡行にかけて、通行禁止道路に面した一部ポートを特定の時間帯に利用停止する。ユーザーにはLUUPアプリ上で通知するほか、一部ポートに交通規制案内ポスターを掲出して周知する。なお、対象エリア外のポートは通常通り利用できる。行事ごとの停止期間と対象ポート数は、前祭の長刀・函谷等曳初が7月12日の14時～17時30分で5ポート、前祭の宵々山・宵山が7月15日と16日の17時～23時30分で43ポート、前祭の山鉾巡行が7月17日の7時～14時30分で46ポート、前祭の神幸祭神輿渡御が7月17日の17時～19時30分で2ポート、後祭の山鉾巡行が7月24日の7時30分～13時30分で37ポート。 Luupは京都エリアにおいて、京都府および京都府警と連携し、鴨川沿いの通行禁止区域でLUUPの電動キックボードを自動停止させる「地域みまもりストップ機能」も導入しているほか、手押しゾーンや危険行動検知システム「LUDAS」などの安全対策も展開している。
