SpaceXのイーロン・マスク氏は4日、GrokなどのAI開発部門である「SpaceXAI」について、「SpaceXSI」に名称変更する考えを表明した。
米国のトランプ政権は9月29日、行政文書などの表記において「AI」「人工知能(Artificial Intelligence)」を廃止し、「SI」、「Super Intelligence」に改めると発表。この発表を受けて、マスク氏は「No more AI SI It’s better(AIはもういらない。SIがベターだ)」とXに投稿。ユーザーから「SpaceXSI」に名前を変更するか? と問われ、「そうするつもりだ(Yes, we will make that change)」と返答。ブランド名の変更を認めている。
ただし、5日18時(日本時間)時点ではSpaceXAIのサイト等の表示はそのままとなっている。
