G-SHOCKのMR-G、新作は世界最大の「ゴライアスガエル」がモチーフ！
【写真を見る】ダイビング時の実用性も魅力！
カシオは、G-SHOCKの最上位シリーズ「MR-G（エムアールジー）」 の新製品として、世界最大のカエル「ゴライアスガエル」をモチーフにしたダイバーズ仕様のFROGMAN（フロッグマン）「MRG-BF1000RG」を5月23日に発売する。
FROGMANは、ダイビングでの作業時に手首の動きを妨げないように配慮された左右非対称なフォルムが特徴の耐衝撃ダイバーズウォッチ。2023年に発売した「MRG-BF1000R」は、その個性的なフォルムを高気密のチタン外装で実現した。
新作の「MRG-BF1000RG」は、「MRG-BF1000R」をベースに、アフリカ西部の熱帯雨林に生息する世界最大のカエル「ゴライアスガエル」をイメージ。秘境に挑む冒険心をカラーやデザインで表現した。
「ゴライアスガエル」の背面の色をイメージしたカーキのバンドには、柔らかく伸縮性の高いフッ素ラバー素材を使用。快適な付け心地を実現している。
腹面の色をイメージしたベージュのインデックスには暗所でも視認性の高いネオブライトを採用。チタン製のスクリューバックには「ゴライアスガエル」の瞳をイメージした鮮やかなグリーン蒸着のサファイアガラスを組み合わせており、防水性だけでなく電波受信感度も向上させている。
ダイブモードでは時分針が重なり1本の針となることで、潜水時間の経過を分かりやすく表示。現在時刻から潜水時間への切り替えも迅速に行えるよう、3つのデュアルコイルモーターを搭載し、ダイビング時の実用性も兼ね備えている。
