LA 中心部に外出禁止令も 220人余が逮捕 事態収束せず
アメリカ西部ロサンゼルスでは、移民の一斉摘発への抗議デモに乗じた混乱を防ぐため、10日夜、市の中心部に外出禁止令が出されましたが、朝までに220人余りが逮捕されるなど、事態は収束していません。
アメリカ西部ロサンゼルスでは、滞在資格のない移民の一斉摘発に抗議するデモに乗じて一部が暴徒化したことから、現地10日の午後8時から翌朝6時までの夜間、市の中心部のダウンタウン地区を対象に外出禁止令が出されました。
初日の夜、現地では、多くの警察車両が展開するなか、トランプ政権に対し抗議の声をあげながら行進する集団も見られ、ロサンゼルス市警は11日、解散に応じなかったなどとして朝までに220人余りを逮捕したと発表するなど、事態は収束していません。
ロサンゼルスのバス市長は11日、周辺の自治体の市長らとともに会見を開き、トランプ大統領が大統領権限で州兵を派遣したことについて「連邦政府は州知事などからどの程度権限を奪えるか試している」と非難しました。
また州兵の一部は移民税関捜査局による摘発にも同行していて、カリフォルニア州のニューサム知事は11日、SNSに、本来山火事に対応すべき州兵が足りなくなっていると投稿するなど、政権への批判を繰り返しています。
これに対し、ホワイトハウスのレビット報道官は11日の会見で「トランプ政権は、大統領がアメリカ国民に約束した大規模な強制送還の取り組みを継続する」と述べて、今後も摘発を続けるとしていて、政治的な対立も深まっています。
