フランス南部にある印象派の画家ルノアールの自宅兼アトリエを公開した美術館から、ルノアールの絵画2点が盗まれました。地元メディアなどは被害額があわせて900万ユーロ、日本円でおよそ16億円にのぼると伝えています。

8日、フランス南部カーニュシュルメールにあるルノアール美術館に、開館前、複数の人物が敷地を囲むフェンスを切断して侵入しました。

警報装置が作動し、警察が5分以内で現場に到着しましたが、ルノアールの絵画2点が盗まれたということです。

地元当局によりますと、盗まれたのは、「コロンナ・ロマーノ夫人の肖像」と「井戸のそばの若い女性」の2点です。

地元メディアなどは被害額があわせて900万ユーロ、日本円でおよそ16億円にのぼると伝えています。

地元のマソン市長は8日、侵入した人物がヘルメットや手袋を身につけ、工具を用意していたことなどから、周到に準備された犯行だったとの見方を示しました。

フランスでは去年、パリのルーブル美術館でも宝石類が盗まれるなど、美術館や博物館をねらった事件が相次いでいて、警備体制の強化などが課題となっています。
