山形県の蔵王では、紅葉の見頃が始まって秋の観光シーズンが本格化するのを前に観光客の安全などを祈願する神事が行われました。

5日は、蔵王連峰の山のひとつで標高1387メートルの鳥兜山の頂上にある「蔵王大黒天」に、地元の観光関係者など10人余りが集まりました。

地元の観光関係者によりますと、ことしの鳥兜山の頂上周辺の紅葉は、今週末の連休に見頃のピークを迎え、10月中旬まで楽しめる見込みだということです。

仙台市から観光で訪れた60代の男性は、「紅葉がきれいに色づき始めていて、秋の訪れと冬が近づいていることを感じます」と話していました。

神事を主催した「蔵王大黒天奉賛会」の池田洋会長は、「蔵王は冬だけでなく秋の景色も魅力的です。多くの観光客に来てもらい、景色を楽しんでほしいです」と話していました。
