埼玉 所沢 歩道から大量の水噴き出す 上水道管が破損 復旧急ぐ
24日午後、埼玉県所沢市で道路脇の歩道から大量の水が噴き出し一時、周辺の道路が冠水しました。市によりますと、地中に埋められていた上水道管が破損したことが原因ということで復旧作業を急いでいます。
24日午後1時ごろ、埼玉県所沢市松が丘の市道脇の歩道で「歩道から水が噴き出ている」と市や警察に複数の通報がありました。
現場の近くにいた30代の女性が午後2時半ごろに撮影した映像には、歩道の真上にある電線の高さまで白い水しぶきを上げながら勢いよく水が噴き出し、周辺の道路に水がたまる様子が記録されています。
女性によりますと午後1時半ごろから、ザーッという音がしているのに気付き、当初は50センチほどの高さだった水の勢いが、午後2時ごろから急に強まって、一時15メートルほどの高さにまで達していたということです。
女性は、NHKの取材に対して「あんな高さまで水が噴き出すのは見たことがなく、とてもびっくりしました。周辺は地盤が強い地域だと聞いていますが、八潮市で道路の陥没事故が起きたばかりなので、とても心配です」と話していました。
市が確認したところ、歩道の下に埋められていた上水道管が破損していたということで、水の流れを止める「仕切り弁」を閉める対応を取り、午後4時ごろには噴き出る水は止まったものの、この影響で周辺の20世帯ほどが断水しているということです。
また市によりますと、この上水道管は完成から40年以上がたっていて、老朽化のため破損の可能性があるとして、補修工事の対象になっていたということです。
現場は、西武池袋線の西所沢駅から南に1.6キロほど離れた住宅が広がる地域で、市は給水車を出して給水作業を行うとともに、破損した上水道管の復旧作業を急いでいます。
