G-SHOCKとBABY-Gに“イルクジ”のNEWモデルが登場！ ザトウクジラとスナメリがテーマ！──GQ新着ウォッチ

カシオは、G-SHOCKとBABY-Gの新製品として、イルカ・クジラと自然の素晴らしさを伝える活動に取り組む「一般社団法人ICERC Japan（アイサーチ・ ジャパン）」とのコラボレーションモデルG-SHOCK「GW-6905K」とBABY-G「BGA- 2800K」を8月8日に発売する。
G-SHOCKとBABY-Gは、これまでさまざまな環境団体とのコラボレーションモデルを制作し、団体へのサポートを継続。1994年からは「Love The Sea And The Earth」 というテーマのもと「ICERC Japan」とのコラボレーションモデルを販売し、「イルカ・クジラモデル」「イルクジ」の愛称で愛されてきた。
新作の「GW-6905K」と「BGA-2800K」は、ザトウクジラとスナメリをテーマにし た「ICERC Japan」とのコラボレーションモデル。北半球・南半球それぞれの海を回遊す るザトウクジラと、身近な海に暮らすスナメリをテーマにすることで、地球規模で考え、身近なところから行動するという海の環境問題に取り組む想いを込めた。
「GW-6905K」は、大きな胸びれが特徴のザトウクジラをデザインモチーフに採用し、ツートンカラーの体色をコントラストの強い配色で表現した。バンドのディープブルーは、ザトウクジラが回遊する遠洋のイメージを重ねている。フロントボタンと遊環、液晶のLED バックライトにザトウクジラのシルエットをあしらったほか、文字盤に腹部の縞模様をイメージしたパターンをプリントしている。
「BGA-2800K」は、丸い頭と愛らしい表情が魅力のスナメリをデザインに採用。体色をイメージしたホワイトをメインカラーに、スナメリが生息する近海をバンドのライトブルーで表現している。6時位置のインダイアルリングは、スナメリがつくる天使の輪「バブ ルリング」をモチーフに、鮮やかなブルーを配色。遊環には、元気に泳ぐスナメリのシルエットをプリントしている。
両モデルともに裏蓋に「Love The Sea And The Earth」のシンボルマークを刻印。また、環境への配慮として、ベゼルやバンドの主なパーツにバイオマスプラスチックを採用した。時計のパッケージも、リサイクル素材を使用したスペシャル仕様にすることで、 プロダクト全体を通して環境への配慮を表現している。
