日中関係が冷え込む中、自民党の岩屋前外務大臣は日本企業の関係者とともに中国北京に出発しました。中国政府関係者などとの会談を調整していて、経済交流を通じて関係改善の糸口を探りたい考えです。

中国を訪問するのは日中友好団体の1つ「日本国際貿易促進協会」の一行で、会長を務める自民党の岩屋前外務大臣と会長代行の橋本岳衆議院議員は27日、協会に加盟する日本企業の関係者とともに羽田空港を出発しました。

一行は、4日間の日程で北京に滞在し、中国商務省の幹部との会談などを調整しているということです。

岩屋氏らとしては、2025年11月の高市総理大臣のいわゆる「台湾有事」をめぐる国会答弁をきっかけに日中関係が冷え込む中、経済交流を通じて両国関係の改善に向けた糸口を探りたい考えです。

出発に先立って岩屋氏は記者団に対し「現在の厳しい日中関係を改善するために率直な意見交換をしたい。厳しいときだからこそ対話が大事だ」と述べました。

中国には今月、超党派の日中友好議員連盟の若手議員も訪問していて、国会議員レベルで関係改善を模索する動きが相次いでいます。
