米軍嘉手納基地 無人偵察機から一時白煙
10日、沖縄県にあるアメリカ軍嘉手納基地の滑走路で、無人偵察機から一時白煙が上がりました。けが人はおらず、アメリカ空軍は「事故の原因を調査する」としています。
10日午前10時前、嘉手納基地の近くにいた人が、滑走路上にあったアメリカ空軍の無人偵察機「MQ9」から白い煙があがっているのを見つけました。
NHKが基地の近くに設置したカメラの映像には、滑走路上で停止した無人偵察機のまわりに兵士たちが集まっている様子が写っています。
けが人はいませんでした。
アメリカ空軍の第18航空団は、NHKの取材に対し「嘉手納基地に配備されたMQ9が地上を走行中に滑走路から外れた」としたうえで「事故の原因を究明すべく徹底的な調査が行われる」とコメントしました。
嘉手納基地にはおととし10月からアメリカ空軍のMQ9が配備されたほか、去年8月には1年間の期限で、海兵隊のMQ9も配備されていて、沖縄県は「基地負担のさらなる増加につながる」として、配備計画の見直しを求めています。
