「日本の棚田百選」の「大蕨の棚田」でドローンレース 山形
「日本の棚田百選」に選ばれている山形県山辺町の大蕨で、棚田を会場にしたドローンのレースが初めて開かれています。
山形県山辺町の山間部にある「大蕨の棚田」は、階段のように水田が連なる景観の美しさから、農林水産省が認定する「日本の棚田百選」に選ばれています。
この景観をPRしようと町は28日、棚田を会場にドローンのレースを初めて開催しています。
レースには、重さが100グラム未満の小さいドローンが使用され、稲を天日で乾燥させる「稲ぐい」が立ち並ぶ全長500メートルのコースを2周させて、その速さを競います。
ドローンは最高時速が50キロにもなるということで、棚田に設置された旗やゲートの間を猛スピードでくぐり抜けたり、急旋回したりして、自由自在に飛び回っていました。
また、ドローンに搭載されたカメラの映像は会場のスクリーンにも映し出され、観客は迫力のある映像でもレースを楽しんでいました。
山辺町産業課農村整備係の高橋直之係長は「農家の高齢化が進む中、何とか棚田の美しい景観を守っている状況だ。新しい取り組みをきっかけに多くの方々に興味を持ってほしい」と話していました。
