おととしノーベル平和賞を受賞した日本被団協は、被爆者の高齢化を踏まえた組織の存続について来年、結論を出す方向で議論を進めています。こうした中、広島県被団協が「被爆2世や3世を中心に原爆被害者の団体として存続させるべき」とする意見をまとめたことが分かりました。

日本被団協＝日本原水爆被害者団体協議会は被爆者の高齢化を踏まえ、組織の存続について来年、結論を出す方向で議論を進めていて、これまでに、被爆2世や3世を含む被爆者以外の人たちで続ける案や、被爆者が役員として活動できなくなった時点で解散する案などが出されています。

こうした中、地方組織のひとつで広島の被爆者などでつくる広島県被団協が「被爆2世や3世を中心に原爆被害者の団体として存続させるべき」とする意見をまとめたことが関係者への取材で分かりました。

その理由には、日本被団協の目標である核兵器廃絶と原爆被害への国家補償が達成されていないことに加え、核をめぐる国際情勢が厳しさを増していることをあげています。

広島県被団協は、今回まとめた意見を、今週、東京で開かれる日本被団協の全国の代表者会議で報告することにしています。
