岩屋外相 G7外相会合出席へ カナダに向け出発
岩屋外務大臣は、G7＝主要7か国の外相会合に出席するため、12日午前、カナダに向けて出発しました。ウクライナ情勢をめぐり、G7が結束していく重要性を訴えるとともに、力による一方的な現状変更の試みは認められないという認識を共有したい考えです。
岩屋外務大臣は、カナダ東部ケベック州で開かれるG7外相会合に出席するため、12日午前10時ごろ、チャーター機で羽田空港を出発しました。
G7外相会合は、先月のドイツでの会合に続いて開かれるもので、今回も、ウクライナや中東、それにインド太平洋地域の情勢などが議題となる予定です。
ウクライナ情勢をめぐり、アメリカをはじめとする各国の外交が活発化する中、岩屋大臣としては、G7が結束していく重要性を訴えるとともに、力による一方的な現状変更の試みは世界のどこであっても認められないという認識を共有したい考えです。
また、核・ミサイルの開発に加えロシアとの軍事協力を進展させる北朝鮮や、海洋進出の動きを強める中国などを念頭に、アジア太平洋地域の平和と安定に向けた連携も確認したいとしています。
一方、会合に合わせて、アメリカのルビオ国務長官との会談も調整していて、アメリカによる鉄鋼製品や自動車への関税措置から日本を除外するよう申し入れる方針です。
