NTTモビリティは、バス・タクシーにおける自動運転レベル4(車内無人)の本格普及を見据え、遠隔での運行状況把握と運行業務支援を統合したソリューション「NTTモビリティ運行アシスト」を7月8日より提供開始した。自動運転レベル4の普及に伴い、安全な運行を支える遠隔運行管理の重要性が高まっている。異常時対応や利用者対応を遠隔で行なう体制に加え、運用コスト低減のため、1人のオペレータが複数車両を管理する仕組みなども求められる。「NTTモビリティ運行アシスト」は、NTTグループが有する60件以上の実証経験で培った知見、通信基盤、AI技術、IoT監視基盤、運用ノウハウ等を結集。交通事業者・地方自治体における遠隔運行体制の導入から運用までに必要な機能を統合的に提供する。交通事業者や地方自治体それぞれの運用環境やニーズに応じて提供し、少人数による複数車両の運行管理、車両・自動運転システムに依存しないマルチADK対応、高信頼通信技術などを活用した遠隔運行、国内法制度を踏まえた運行管理体制の確立に寄与する。
