AIグラス「Ray-Ban Meta(第2世代)」登場 アスリート向け新製品も
Metaは9月17日(米国時間)、年次開発者会議「Meta Connect 2025」を開催し、基調講演にてAIグラスの新製品「Ray-Ban Meta(第2世代)」と「Oakley Meta Vanguard」を発表した。いずれも日本での発売は未定。

■ バッテリと動画撮影が強化「Ray-Ban Meta(第2世代)」
Ray-Ban Meta(第2世代)は、バッテリ駆動時間が前世代の2倍に向上し、3K Ultra HD動画撮影にも対応したAIグラス。発表と同時に発売され、価格は379ドルから。満充電で最大8時間の連続使用が可能で、20分で最大50%までの急速充電にも対応する。付属の充電ケースにより、さらに48時間使用できる。
カメラは超広角1,200万画素で、3K/30fpsの動画撮影に対応し、前世代比で2倍以上の解像度での動画撮影を実現している。今秋にはハンズフリー撮影機能がすべてのAIグラスに搭載されるほか、新機能として、スローモーションおよびハイパーラプス撮影が追加される。
デザインはWayfarer、Skyler、Headlinerの3種類を用意し、通常カラーに加えて期間限定カラー3色や、昨年登場したクリアフレームの限定モデルも販売する。
■ ガーミンとも連携 アスリート向け「Oakley Meta Vanguard」
Oakley Meta Vanguardは、激しいスポーツや過酷なアウトドアに適したアスリート向けAIグラス。発売日は10月21日で、予約受付は本日より開始している。価格は499ドル。レンズはPrizm Road Lenses、Prizm 24k Lenses、Prizm Black Lenses、Prizm Sapphire Lensesの4種類から選択できる。
前面中央に視野角122度で手振れ補正機能付きの1,200万画素カメラを搭載し、3K動画の撮影やスローモーション、ハイパーラプスに対応する。オープンイヤースピーカーは「Oakley Meta HSTN」より6dB大きいものを採用し、風切り音も低減され、騒がしい道でのランニングや風の中のサイクリングにも適している。
また、GarminおよびStravaとの連携により、ワークアウトの進捗や統計情報をリアルタイムかつハンズフリーで確認できるほか、ワークアウトの記録やマイルストーンに基づき自動で動画を撮影するオートキャプチャ機能も備える。記録映像はパフォーマンスデータと組み合わせて表示でき、StravaコミュニティやSNSへの共有も可能となっている。
IP67の防水性能に準拠し、満充電で最大9時間の連続使用が可能で、充電ケースを利用するとさらに36時間使用できる。レンズは交換可能で、オプションとして交換レンズも85ドルで発売する。
■ 基調講演では近日登場の新機能も
Meta Connect 2025では、近日提供予定の新機能「Conversation Focus」も発表された。同機能は、AIグラスのオープンイヤースピーカーを通じて会話相手の声を増幅し、周囲の騒音があるカフェや公園などでも相手の声を明瞭に聞き取れるようにする。Ray-Ban MetaおよびOakley Meta HSTNのソフトウェアアップデートで近日中に配信される。
また、リアルタイム翻訳機能「Live Translation」もアップデートされ、新たにドイツ語とポルトガル語に対応する。
Meta Connect 2025では、レンズ内ディスプレイを搭載し、手首で操作できる上位モデル「Meta Ray-Ban Display」も発表された。価格は799ドルだが、日本での発売は未定。
