強い甘みが特徴のみかん「南津海」出荷盛ん 愛知 美浜町
愛知県美浜町で強い甘みとほどよい酸味が特徴のみかん「南津海」が盛んに出荷されています。
美浜町では競合する品種が少ない時期に出荷できる「南津海」の栽培を12年前から始め、現在は9軒の農家が生産しています。
町内にあるJAの選果場では、かごに入った状態で運び込まれた実に傷がないか、従業員が手作業で確認したあと、機械でMやLなどのサイズごとに分けて段ボール箱に詰めていました。
JAによりますと、この冬は雨が少なかったため水分が不足しないよう気を配ったということです。
生産者の神谷英明さんは「そのまま食べるのが一番おいしいですが、糖度が高くて酸味も適度にあるので、しぼってジュースにしたりお酒に入れてもおいしいです」と話していました。
出荷は4月中旬まで行われるということです。
