コメの価格高騰続くなか「100円カレー」で学生支援 仙台
政府の備蓄米の放出が先月から始まっていますが、コメの価格は高止まりが続いています。
仙台市の大学では学生たちを支援しようと、1食100円のカレーの提供を始めました。

1食350円のカレー「100円」で提供
これは仙台市の東北工業大学が14日から年間40日限定で不定期に行うもので、通常は1食350円のカレー並盛りを100円で提供します。
学生食堂では午前10時半の開店と同時に学生たちが次々に訪れて100円カレーを注文していました。
100円カレーは3年前、新型コロナウイルスの影響でアルバイトなどができない学生たちを支援しようと始まりましたが、コメなどの価格高騰を受け、ことしも継続することになったということです。
大学によりますと通常の2倍のコメを一度に仕入れたり、同窓会などからの支援金を活用したりして、100円でカレーを提供できているということです。
カレーを食べた男子学生は「とてもおいしいです。物価高の中でも安く、お米をいっぱい食べられるのでありがたいです」と話していました。
東北工業大学の目黒裕二教務学生課長は「コメなどの価格が高騰する中でも、学生たちが元気に大学生活をおくれるようにこれからも100円カレーの取り組みを続けていきたい」と話していました。
