徳島 板野町 「春にんじん」の収穫と出荷が最盛期
徳島県が全国で最も多い生産量を誇る「春にんじん」の収穫が最盛期を迎え、地元の農家が出荷作業に追われています。
「春にんじん」は秋に種をまいて春に収穫するにんじんで、3月から6月にかけて出荷され、皮が薄く甘いのが特徴です。
地元のJAによりますと、徳島県の生産量は去年およそ3万5000トンと全国で最も多くなっていて、県内有数の産地の板野町では収穫と出荷が最盛期を迎えています。
23日は生産農家の豊永好史さんの作業場で出荷作業が行われ、みずみずしいオレンジ色のにんじんに付いた土を水で落としたあと、サイズごとに選別し箱に詰める作業に追われていました。
JAによりますと、ことしの「春にんじん」は、種をまいた去年11月ごろに雨が続いたことから小ぶりなものの、その後の生育は順調で、平年並みの出荷を見込んでいるということです。
生産農家の豊永さんは「とても甘いので、生で食べてもいいし、にんじんジュースもおすすめです。生産者一丸となって日本一の春にんじんを届けたい」と話していました。
