児童福祉分野への就職を支援 モデル事業開始へ こども家庭庁
児童虐待の相談対応件数が年々増加する中、児童相談所などで働く人材を安定的に確保するため、こども家庭庁は福祉系の学部がある大学に相談員を配置し、児童福祉の分野への就職を支援する「こども・若者支援人材バンク」を置くモデル事業を始める方針です。
児童相談所が対応した虐待の相談件数は、一昨年度、22万5500件余りと、前の年度より1万件増えて過去最も多くなっています。
こうした中、児童相談所で働く児童福祉司は、心身の不調や業務上の悩みなど理由に退職するなど、人材の確保や職場での定着が課題となってます。
このため、こども家庭庁は福祉系の学部がある大学などに相談員を配置し、児童福祉司などを目指す学生の相談支援を行う「こども・若者支援人材バンク」を置き、求人情報の提供や、児童相談所などでの実習やインターンの受け入れを調整するなどします。
また、人材の定着を図るため、「定着支援コーディネーター」を配置し、就職1年目の児童福祉司などを対象にした研修などを行い、定期的にフォローする体制を設けることにしています。
こども家庭庁はこうした取り組みを複数の自治体でモデル事業として始める方針で、関連する費用を来年度予算案の概算要求に盛り込みました。
