新型GRヤリスAero performance package、ついに登場!!! トヨタの最新ホットハッチとは？

9月12日、TOYOTA GAZOO Racing(以下、TGR)は、モータースポーツで得た知見を織り込んだ「GRヤリス Aero performance package」の価格などを発表した。

Aero performance packageは、専用のパーツ（6アイテム）を装着するのが特徴だ。GRヤリスの冷却性能と空力性能を、さらに向上させて、走行性能を高める。スーパー耐久シリーズや全日本ラリー選手権を戦っているからこそ気づけた課題一つひとつに向き合い、プロドライバーとともに理想を追い求めたという。

装着するパーツは以下の通り。

1.ダクト付きアルミフード 全日本ラリー選手権参戦車において先行で開発し、GRMNヤリスに採用したカーボン製フードと同形状のダクト付きアルミフードを設定。高速走行中、エンジンルーム内の熱をダクトから放出し、冷却効果を高める。

2.フロントリップスポイラー スーパー耐久シリーズで学んだ高次元の空力バランスを実現するために、フロントリフトの発生を抑え、さらにフロントの接地感と空力バランスを高め、車両のトータルリフトバランスを向上させる。

3.フェンダーダクト ホイールハウス内に溜まる空気を後方へ放出させることで、ノーズダイブ時のステアリングフィールや、コーナー入り口での操縦安定性を向上させる。

4.燃料タンクアンダーカバー スーパー耐久シリーズ参戦車両の安全燃料タンクの下部をフラット形状にするアイデアを採用。ボディ下部の空気の流れを最適化し、空力性能を高める。

5.可変式リヤウイング 大型のリヤウイングは高速域での操縦安定性に寄与し、またブレーキング時のスネーキング現象を抑制。可変式のため、サーキットなどの走行シーンに応じてウイングの角度を変え、走りを楽しめる。

6.リヤバンパーダクト リヤバンパーにおけるパラシュート効果を抑制し、Cd値を低減。過酷なレース条件下であるスーパー耐久シリーズの現場で、空力負荷によりリヤバンパーが外れたことを起点に、モータースポーツ特有の厳しい環境に対応するため開発したという。

GRヤリス Aero performance packageは、RZ “High performance”とRCに設定。価格は、RC + Aero performance packageが¥4,055,000（6MT）／¥4,405,000（8AT）、RZ"High performance" + Aero performance packageは¥5,475,000（6MT）／¥5,825,000（8AT）。10月1日より、全国のトヨタ車両販売店にて発売する。
