ispaceの民間月面着陸機、15日に打上げ
ispaceは、ミッション2“SMBC x HAKUTO-R VENTURE MOON”の打ち上げ予定日を1月15日に確定した。Mission 2では、月面着陸用の「RESILIENCEランダー」に6つのペイロードを搭載して輸送する。

HAKUTO-Rは、ispaceが行なうミッション1とミッション2を総称する、民間月面探査プログラムのこと。独自のランダー(月着陸船)とローバー(月面探査車)を開発して、月面着陸と月面探査の2回のミッションを行なう。SpaceXのFalcon 9を使用し、2022年にミッション1(月面着陸ミッション)のランダーの打ち上げを完了している。
ミッション1の目的は、ランダーの設計および技術の検証と、月面輸送サービスと月面データサービスの提供という事業モデルの検証等。ミッション1マイルストーンの10段階のうち、Success8まで成功しており、Success9中においても、着陸シーケンス中のデータも含め月面着陸ミッションを実現する上でのデータやノウハウなどを獲得することに成功。ミッション1で得られたデータやノウハウはミッション2へフィードバックされている。
ミッション2の打上げは、1月15日1時11分(日本時間15時11分)。米国フロリダ州ケープカナベラル宇宙軍基地 39A射点からSpaceXのFalcon 9ロケットによって打上げられる。「RESILIENCEランダー」には下記のペイロードが搭載される。

ミッション2の名称“SMBC x HAKUTO-R VENTURE MOON”は、オフィシャルパートナーである三井住友銀行により命名されたもので、新たな始まりやチャンスの意が込められている。
