家畜の感染症の国内への侵入が警戒されるなか、農林水産省動物検疫所は茨城県の食料品店に立ち入り検査を行い、輸入が禁止されている海外産の肉製品を回収し、すべて廃棄したと発表しました。

こうした立ち入り検査が行われるのは、2026年5月に家畜伝染病予防法が改正され、防疫対策が強化されて以降、初めてです。

動物検疫所による立ち入り検査を受けたのは、茨城県古河市にあるアジア食材などを扱う食料品店、「LE CHIEN MART-KOGA（リチェンマートコガ）」です。

農林水産省によりますと、9月29日の検査では、原則、輸入が禁止されているベトナム産やインドネシア産の肉製品、およそ26キログラムが販売されているのが確認され、動物検疫所の職員が回収し、すべて廃棄したということです。

こうした立ち入り検査が行われるのは、2026年5月に家畜伝染病予防法が改正され、ASF＝アフリカ豚熱など、家畜の感染症の国内への侵入を防ぐ防疫対策が強化されて以降、今回が初めてです。

動物検疫所は警察に情報提供を行い、肉製品が輸入されたいきさつについて詳しく調べることにしています。

農林水産省は、家畜の感染症が国内で発生すると、影響は食卓にまで及ぶ可能性があるとして、「防疫対策のために正規の輸入手続きをしていない海外からの肉製品を買わないでほしい」と呼びかけています。
