TOICAがAppleウォレット対応 iPhoneで利用可能に
JR東海とJR西日本は3月17日、TOICAのモバイルICサービスをAppleウォレットに対応させた。iPhoneやApple Watchで「ICOCA(TOICAモデル)」を発行し、鉄道利用や買い物の支払いに利用できる。
同サービスは、JR西日本のApple PayのICOCAの仕組みを活用したもの。Appleウォレット上でICOCA(TOICAモデル)を新規発行できるほか、既存のTOICAやTOICA定期券の情報を引き継いで利用することも可能。
Apple Payの機能により、チャージや定期券の購入にも対応する。チャージはICOCAアプリおよびAppleウォレットから行なえ、定期券はICOCAアプリで購入できる。TOICA定期券と同様の範囲に対応し、通勤・通学定期券のほか、ICエリアをまたぐ定期券や新幹線定期券も対象に含まれる。
あわせて、3月17日～4月16日の期間、定期券発行キャンペーンを実施する。ICOCAアプリでICOCA(TOICAモデル)の定期券を購入した人、またはAppleウォレットで既存のTOICA定期券を引き継いだ人を対象に、先着25,000人へ交通系電子マネー1,000円分を付与する。
