海でイルカに遭遇 ⇒ 重さ400キロの個体が船にジャンプ。居合わせた男性らがカメラで記録
ニュージーランドで釣りをしていた男性3人が、洋上でイルカに遭遇。その際、偶然にもイルカが船に飛び乗った。そのとき撮影された映像が注目を集めている。

3人は2月28日、ニュージーランド北島にある景勝地周辺の海域で釣りをしていた。AP通信によると、船の前方で複数のイルカが跳んでいた。
次の瞬間、イルカが3人の頭上をジャンプ。そのまま船に落ちてきたという。ディーン・ハリソンさんは自身のFacebookに「400キログラムのイルカで船内がぎちぎちになった」「まるで竜巻のような衝撃だった」とつづっている。
幸い、乗っていた3人の命に別状はなく、ボートに大きな損傷はなかった。船も転覆しなかったという。飛び乗ってきたイルカは一通り暴れたのち、まだ呼吸をしていた。
3人は各所に連絡をとり、イルカに詳しい専門家がいる場所まで船で連れて行くことになった。その間、イルカに水をかけ続け、タオルで日差しから守ったという。
専門家によれば、イルカは2〜3歳のオス。イルカは健康状態に問題はないと診断され、無事、海にかえされた。
SNSには「信じられない、夢みたいな体験だね」「3人が助けたイルカも含めて、みんな無事で元気で本当によかった！あなたたちの対応はすばらしいですね」などの声が上がっている。
