悪質リフォーム被害防止セミナー「その場で契約しない」警視庁
無料点検を装って不要な工事契約を結ばせるなど、悪質リフォーム業者をめぐるトラブルが相次ぐ中、警視庁は被害防止のためのセミナーを開き「突然の訪問を受けても、その場で契約しないでほしい」と呼びかけました。
東京 大田区で開かれたセミナーには、地域住民などおよそ60人が参加しました。
はじめに、警視庁生活安全総務課の川原匡平課長が「怪しい業者が訪問してきても応対せず、点検をさせないことがまずは大事です。応対してしまい押し切られそうになっても、その場では契約しないことが重要です」と呼びかけました。
このあと、漫才コンビ「キラーコンテンツ」が、業者の訪問を断る際には「うちは専門の業者に任せています」とか「訪問販売はすべてお断りしています」といったことばを使ってほしいと、参加者に伝えていました。
警視庁によりますと、去年1年間に不審なリフォーム業者などの訪問を受けたという相談はおよそ2300件寄せられていて、中には「インフラ事業者や水道局から委託された」などと業者がうそを言うケースも確認されているということです。
参加した70代の女性は「これまでインターホンが鳴ったらすぐに出ていたが、今後はドア越しに対応するようにしたい」と話していました。
