台湾 頼清徳総統 アメリカに武器売却の継続求める

アメリカのトランプ大統領が台湾への武器売却を中国との今後の交渉の切り札としたい考えを示唆したことなどを受けて、台湾の頼清徳総統はSNSへの投稿で、中国が軍事的な圧力を強めていると指摘した上で、アメリカに対して武器売却を継続するよう求めました。

米中首脳会談のため北京を訪れていたアメリカのトランプ大統領は、15日に放送されたFOXニュースのインタビューで台湾について、「独立を望む人たちがいる。アメリカが後ろ盾だと思っているようだが、私は現状維持を望む」と述べた上で、台湾への武器売却を中国との今後の交渉の切り札としたい考えを示唆しました。

こうした発言を受けて、台湾の頼清徳総統は17日、SNSへの投稿で、中国が台湾周辺で軍事的な圧力を強めていると指摘し、「中国こそが地域の不安定化と現状変更の根源だ」と訴えました。

そして「われわれが守る必要があるのは現状であり、いわゆる『台湾独立』という問題は存在しない」と強調しました。

その上で「台湾とアメリカの安全保障協力と武器売却は地域の平和と安定を守るための重要な要素だ」として、アメリカに対して武器売却を継続するよう求めました。
