なでしこジャパン 5月～6月 ブラジルと強化試合へ
サッカー女子の日本代表「なでしこジャパン」が、5月から6月にかけて、ブラジルとアウェーで強化試合を行うことになりました。
世界ランキング5位のなでしこジャパンは、ニルス・ニールセン監督就任後、2月の国際大会で世界1位のアメリカから勝利をあげるなど、ここまで4試合で3勝1引き分けと負けなしです。
日本サッカー協会は26日、新たな強化試合の予定を発表し、5月30日と6月2日に、いずれもアウェーで世界8位のブラジルと対戦することになりました。
ブラジルには過去7勝5敗3引き分けと勝ち越していて、去年のパリオリンピックの予選リーグでは、日本が1点を追う試合終了間際に2点を奪って劇的な逆転勝利をあげました。
ブラジルは再来年の女子のワールドカップの開催国で、ニールセン監督は協会を通じて「次のワールドカップに向けて、周囲の環境や雰囲気をいち早く学ぶことができる。ブラジルは優勝候補の1つと見なされていて、自分たちに何が足りないのか、どんなプレーができるのかを試す絶好の機会だ」とコメントしています。
