9月16日、スズキは、バッテリーEV(BEV)の新型「e ビターラ」の日本仕様を発表した。
新型スズキ e ビターラは、2024年11月にイタリア・ミラノで初公開し、2025年1月にインドのBharat Mobility Global Expo 2025で公開された、スズキのBEV世界戦略車第一弾だ。
エクステリアは「ハイテク&アドベンチャー」をテーマに、多角形や多面体構造を採用し、BEVの先進感とSUVの力強さを併せ持つ力強いデザインとした。
押し出し感の強いフロントマスクや、BEVならではのロングホイールベースに、四隅に踏ん張る大径タイヤやサイドスラッシュガードなどで力強い走破性を表現する。
灯火類では、フロントのLEDデイタイムランニングランプ(LEDポジションランプ)やリヤのLEDコンビネーションランプに3ポイントが特徴的なシグネチャーランプを採用した。
足まわりでは18インチガーニッシュ付アルミホイールを採用。空力と軽量化を両立させた樹脂製ガーニッシュによって、アルミだけでは表現できない細部まで作り込んだデザインとする。
インテリアはブラック＆ブラウン基調。メーターとセンターのディスプレイを同一平面上に配置した「インテグレーテッドディスプレイ システム」は、10.1インチのセンターディスプレイと10.25インチのメーターディスプレイで構成する。
インパネやフロントドアトリムにはブラウンのソフトパッドを採用し、エアコンルーバーの周辺には、ダークシルバーガーニッシュやピアノブラック調の加飾を施す。
プラットフォームには、BEV専用に新しく開発した「HARTECT-e」を採用することで、軽量な構造、高電圧保護、ショートオーバーハングによる広い室内スペースを実現。バッテリーは、安全性が高く寿命も長いリン酸鉄リチウムイオンバッテリーとした。
高ハイテン材の使用率を従来のプラットフォームより上げることで重量低減を図る。さらにメインフロア下メンバーを廃止し、バッテリー容量を最大化させた。
モーター、インバーター、トランスアクスルを一体型にした「eAxle」は、エネルギー効率を高めると同時にコンパクトな設計に。アクセルペダルの操作のみで加減速をコントロールできる「イージードライブペダル」に加え、「NORMAL」「ECO」「SPORT」の3つのドライブモードを設定した。
4WDモデルは、前後に独立したふたつのeAxleを配置した電動4WDの「ALLGRIP-e」を採用。「オートモード」と「トレイルモード」のふたつのモードを用意し、オートモードは、路面状況に応じて各制御を最適化し、優れた操縦安定性と悪路走破性を両立。前後駆動力配分を緻密に制御し、タイヤのグリップを最大限活かした。
コネクティングまわりでは、「タイマー充電」や「バッテリーウォーマー」などの機能を追加したスズキコネクトを採用。衝突被害軽減ブレーキ「デュアルセンサーブレーキサポートII」など、先進の予防安全機能も搭載する。
価格はエントリーグレードの「X」が2WDのみで¥3,993,000。装備が充実した「Z」のうち、2WDが¥4,488,000、4WDが¥4,928,000。なお、新型e ビターラは、令和6年度補正予算「クリーンエネルギー自動車導入促進補助金」の対象で、補助交付金額は全機種¥870,000 となる。
