道頓堀 大阪松竹座ビル 老朽化のため来年5月の公演で閉館へ
100年余り前に開業し、アーチ型の外観から「道頓堀の凱旋門」と呼ばれ長年親しまれてきた大阪 道頓堀の大阪松竹座ビルが、建物の老朽化のため来年5月の公演をもって閉館することになりました。
大阪松竹座ビルは松竹の創業者、白井松次郎の発案で建設され、100年余り前の大正12年に日本で初めての鉄筋コンクリート造りの映画館として開業しました。
アーチ型の外観は「道頓堀の凱旋門」と呼ばれ、多くの名作を上映したあと、平成9年には演劇の劇場として新しくオープンし、歌舞伎など多彩な興行を通じて多くのファンや地域の人たちに親しまれてきました。
ビルを運営する松竹は28日、建物の老朽化のため来年5月の公演をもって終了し、地下の店舗も含めて閉館すると発表しました。
閉館後の運用については未定としていますが、歌舞伎をはじめとする演目は、場所を変えてさまざまな劇場やホールで継続していきたいとしています。
松竹は「来年5月までは通常通り、公演があるので、皆さんに喜んでいただけるような演目を準備していきます。詳細は順次、発表していきます」とコメントしてます。
兵庫30代女性「関西の聖地だったのでなくなるのは寂しいです」
男性アイドルのファンで、大阪松竹座ビルに何度も足を運んだことがあるという兵庫県の30代の女性は「きょうはここを通る予定はなかったけど、あえて松竹座の前を通って思い出に浸っていました。大阪といえば松竹、関西の聖地だったのでそれがなくなるのは寂しいです」と話していました。
また、大阪市の20代の男性は「学生のときから20回くらいは来ました。親とも来たし、当時付き合っていた人とも来ました。私の人生を作り上げてくれた場所です。応援しているアイドルがここで公演したという思い出はずっと残り続けます」と声を詰まらせながら話していました。
