光と影が交錯するMASU──特集：ロングがショートか。2024-25年秋冬のアウター選びはどっちだ？
初のパリファッションウィークで好評を博した今季は、アメリカンファッションをベースに独自のヒーローの世界観を表現。

海外初となるランウェイショーをパリで開催したMASU。今シーズンは多様な素材を駆使し、アワードジャケットやロングコートなど幅広く展開。デザインに、マイケル・ジャクソンの有名なメッセージをあしらう一方で、コウモリをモチーフにブラックを基調としたダークなデザインに仕上げたものまで、ヒーローとダークヒーローを繊細に表現している。
■VARSITY JACKET
ブラックのバーシティジャケットは、ゆとりのあるボックスシルエットで、身頃には肉厚のメルトン、袖部分には張りのある牛革を使用している。胸元にあしらったブランドのイニシャルである”M”ロゴを筆頭に、背面にはマイケル・ジャクソンの名言を、さらに裏地にはブランドのアイコンである天使の総柄のキルティングをあしらうなど、随所にブランドの歴史が散りばめている。
■BAT COLLAR OVER COAT
目のぎゅっと詰まったウール90%×ナイロン10%のメルトンを使用したコートは、肩幅が極端に広く着丈の長い迫力のあるシルエットが魅力。ダブルブレスト仕様だが、ボタンを掛けず内側のコットンのテープを結んでの着用も可能だ。またラペルは襟のボタンに留めると、口元まで覆うマスクのような高さに設定されている。
■BAT PONCHO
ジップアップ仕様のレインコートは、撥水加工を施した光沢のある生地を採用。コウモリをイメージした切り替えや裾のカッティングが、ドレープによって独特なフォルムを生み出す。スナップボタンを留めることで袖を通す場所が生まれ、ポンチョではなくコートとしても着用が可能だ。
■BAT COLLAR ZIP-UP JACKET
“M”ワッペンが際立つ、ダークヒーローの二面性を表現したという一着。ダブルフェイスのメルトンを使用した、一枚仕立てのジップアップブルゾンは、コウモリのようなフード口のカッティングが特徴的。ジップを閉めてフードを被った際のユニークさに加え、ジップを開くと”HERO”の文字が現れ、セーラーカラーのように襟が開くギミックもポイントだ。
