首都圏のバス路線も「クレカ乗車」本格化　京王バスの300台が対応

京王バスは、3月27日から「クレカ乗車」サービスの本格導入を開始する。同社が運行する中野・永福町・桜ヶ丘営業所管内の路線バスへ拡大し、計300両に導入。2027年度の完全キャッシュレス化を目指す。 同社は、2025年3月から調布営業所管内の約50両で「クレカ乗車」サービスを先行導入してきたが、利便性向上やスムーズな乗降が実現できていることから、都心部や多摩地域を管轄する3営業所の約250両に拡大。導入済の車両をあわせると約300両が対応し、首都圏の路線バス事業者におけるタッチ決済の導入規模としては最大級となる。 導入するのは三井住友カードの公共交通機関向けソリューション「stera transit」で、タッチ決済対応のカード(クレジット・デビット・プリペイド)や、カードが設定されたスマートフォンを乗車時に専用の端末にタッチすることで、そのまま乗車できるようになる。 利用できるカードの国際ブランドは、Visa、Mastercard、JCB、American Express、Diners Club、Discover、銀聯。 クレカ乗車の拡大により。事前の現金の準備や、ICカードへのチャージを不要とし、シームレスなバス利用を促していく。京王バスでは、2027年度の完全キャッシュレス化を目指しており、キャッシュレス化により、スムーズな乗り降りとともに、バスの遅れを減らした定時運行につなげる・また、運賃箱に関わる業務の削減など、運転士の負担軽減も目指している。 なお三井住友カードは、クレジットカードのタッチ決済を使った乗車サービスについて、「タッチ決済乗車」として推進してきた。しかし、タッチ決済がカードの主流となってきたこともあり、今後は「クレカ乗車」として推進する方針を示している。
