子どものSNS利用 日本とEUで共同声明 情報共有強化へ
子どものSNS利用のあり方が議論となる中、日本とEU＝ヨーロッパ連合のデジタル分野を担当する閣僚級会合がベルギーで開かれ、規制などの取り組みについて情報共有を強化することを盛り込んだ共同声明をとりまとめました。
日本時間の5日夕方、ベルギーのブリュッセルで行われた閣僚級会合には、日本から林総務大臣と松本デジタル大臣が、EUからはビルクネン上級副委員長が出席しました。
子どもがSNSでトラブルに巻き込まれるケースを防ぐため、ヨーロッパやアジア各国では規制に向けた動きが広がり、世界各地で子どものSNS利用のあり方が議論となっています。
会合では、対応の必要性は共通の課題だという認識で一致し、規制などの取り組みについて情報共有を強化することを盛り込んだ共同声明をとりまとめました。
また、共同声明には、AIの活用について信頼性の高い基盤づくりが不可欠だとして、作業部会を設けて連携を強化していくことなども盛り込まれました。
このあと林総務大臣は記者会見で、「AIやオンラインの安全・安心の確保などについて充実した意見交換を行い、関係強化につながる有意義な議論ができた。EUとの協力をいっそう加速していきたい」と述べました。
