12日午前8時50分ごろ、熊本県で震度3の揺れを観測する地震がありました。この地震による津波の心配はありません。

このほか、震度2や1の揺れを長崎県、熊本県、宮崎県、鹿児島県の各地で観測しました。

気象庁の観測によりますと、震源地は熊本県熊本地方で、震源の深さは10キロ、地震の規模を示すマグニチュードは3.8と推定されています。

熊本県では先月28日、熊本地方を震源とするマグニチュード7.1の大地震が発生し、震度7の揺れを観測しました。

気象庁は、依然として活発な地震活動が続いているとして、1か月ほどは最大震度5弱程度以上の地震に注意するよう呼びかけています。
