東急大井町線高架下にデータセンター 都市型DC実証実験
東急大井町線の高架下に「モジュール型小規模データセンター」を設置する。東急と東急電鉄、イッツ・コミュニケーションズ、東急建設の4社が、都市型データセンターの導入検討に関する実証実験を2026年6月から開始する。
低遅延・高信頼なデータ処理基盤へのニーズが高まる中で、従来の大規模データセンターとは異なるコンパクトな設備をデータ需要が集積する都市部へ分散配置することが重要とされる。こうしたニーズの拡大に対応するため、大井町線高架下に「モジュール型小規模データセンター」を設置。鉄道高架下特有の環境下でのサーバーに対する影響や、サーバーの筐体の遮音・断熱・免振・冷却性能について測定し、結果をもとに様々な場所での設置実現可能性を検証していく。
設置されるモジュール型小規模データセンターは、サーバー稼働に必要な冷却装置や電源設備などを、コンテナのような専用の箱(モジュール)に集約。大規模な建物を建設する必要がなく、限られたスペースで迅速な設置が可能としている。
東急は、沿線に敷設済みの大容量光ファイバーネットワークを直接活用できる利点を生かし、渋谷を含めた東急線沿線へのデータセンター設置も視野に入れて推進。東急線沿線でのデジタル都市基盤の構築とともに沿線価値を高めていく。
